hiccuphoney Test World proto-v.01.02 is a Korean vocabulary 2D top down RPG prototype where the character collects objects and answers true or false to a word that is displayed in Hangul. As of August 3, 2021, v.01.02 is running on the HICCUP의 시험 세계 tab. This initial prototype was built on WebGL and does not play on phones or tablets.
There is a feedback box at the bottom of the game page so if you notice any bugs or just wish to say hi, you can do that there (or if you’re Korean/speak Korean and notice any mistakes, I am a baby novice and your input would be greatly appreciated).
I am not Korean nor do I speak Korean in any practical sense. I started making this game as a way to practice game development in Unity Game Engine while also applying the Korean I have been learning. I hope to add storytelling and adventure aspects to the game as I develop it but this game is NOT intended to teach Korean grammar or culture (or vocabulary even really) as I am unqualified to do those things.
There are currently only about a dozen words in this prototype, and it’ll probably be a while before I add more. Below is a guide of the updates I am working on next.
